In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a long list of fashion and beauty brands – from Dior and Ritz Carlton Spas to Yves Rocher and Sexy Hair – are showing their support for women undergoing cancer treatment by supporting Look Good…Feel Better.
Look Good…Feel Better is a collaboration of the Personal Care Products Council Foundation, the American Cancer Society and the Professional Beauty Association/National Cosmetology Association that helps cancer patients improve self-esteem and confidence by helping them cope with the appearance side effects of cancer treatment. The nationwide program offers free workshops, webinars, educational materials and on-line support that include lessons on wigs and turbans, skin and nail care, cosmetics and accessories. Participants regain some normalcy and a sense of control during a difficult time that is by no means normal.
All funds raised by these programs go to the Personal Care Products Council Foundation to benefit the Look Good…Feel Better program. More info on Look Good…Feel Better is available at www.lookgoodfeelbetter.org. I have personally worked with the organization for years and they are the best of the best.
