According to the fashion industry Petite is defined as 5′5″ inches tall and under. In the United States petite women represent 70% of the female population. We can't always reach the tops of shelves. Sometimes our feet swing on the toilet. We need a step stool to make out with you standing up...but us vertically challenged chicks are the majority (and kick-ass for more than 10 reasons, but these are my faves)...
The Aztec Snake Clutch (white snake skin, black ink) from Comes With Baggage is one of those ME ME ME presents. All items are one-of-a-kind, passionately re-made in New York City (and sometimes in Brooklyn – but never by hipsters).
Holiday Hair How To - The Braid Bun blend by Mario Russo, owner & lead stylist of Salon Mario Russo in Boston compiled step-by-step instructions for this new look for your locks. A super chic and oh-so-unique holiday hairdo.
The critter sweater trend is still going strong...here are a few of my favorite furry friend fuzzies for fall...they are going FAST, so scoop them up (these are almost all sold out from Talbots, Old Navy, J.Crew and C.Wonder)!
Rest assured, you are in good hands. With espresso shot ingested, I have put together a to-die-for, must-have look for fall. You will be the envy of women, men will pull an exorcist 360 (what man doesn't when he sees a woman in leather?) and you will be confident and cool in your classy chic gear. The good news - you don't have to go very far or spend a ton of money. Talbots has it all and it is just a click away from being yours.
It is time for me to finally come forward and confess to my dedicated Bellers that I, Kara, do not always wash my hair. Now I know some of you out there (don't hide!) follow this little hair ritual too. Honestly, it's such an important hair trick and there are a lot of great perks to skipping a few shampoos. Your hair stays nourished, becomes a bit more manageable, and your freshly dyed locks stay vibrant for that much longer. Not to mention you get your money's worth out of any blowouts!
When having company over there are many things I make sure to do just before arrival. My apartment is spotless, organized, and clean. Ambient music is playing, delicious food is cooking and photos of loved ones on display. I want my place to be appealing to all 5 senses. However, it recently dawned on me that I didn't just wanted it to generically smell nice...I wanted it to smell recognizable. My guests needed to walk in and be captivated by my home’s signature scent! That is how I discovered Mandarin Coriander by Thymes.
With Fashion Week in full swing, I have been flooded with how I am surviving (it is Saturday night at 11:48 pm - does that answer your question - I am working!). But thankfully, my beauty stash is helping to keep me bright eyed and bushy tailed, as I live the life of a crazy little lifestyle blogger - during New York Fashion Week. I present you with with a peek into my fashion week beauty arsenal:
If you read my last post, you are well aware how much I enjoyed the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival's production of *The Three Musketeers. Lucky me - the fun didn't end at curtain call. I got a chance to sneak behind the scenes and get some quality time backstage with three of the show's top stars. All I can say is this...though they are all superior in their field of work, these three thespians are also among the most humble, intelligent, kind and generous people I have come across in quite some time. What a tough job I have - it is complete torture to conduct these interviews... #lovethem
