London FW Trend Report SS16 Christopher Kane
“Kane still carries the torch for daring, industrial-strength fashion rooted in the now of tangled traffic, blaring screens, rampant technology and graffiti. He’s done flowers — spelled it out across a sweatshirt a few seasons back — and moved on to spray-paint that splatters, clots and drips off jersey dresses and black office suiting.” – WWD

INSPIRATION:  “Christopher Kane has a very organic idea of beauty. This look is kind of conceptual in the idea of pulling your hair back, but it’s still quite natural looking since it’s done with my fingers, which gives it a lot of nice texture. I used multicolored cable ties to secure the ponytails and also joined them together so they are wound around the neck over the hair like a choker. A few of the girls we gave fringes, so it feels sort of punk-y and anarchic. To finish the look and add a little toughness and shine, I sprayed Redken’s shine flash 02 glistening mist all over the hair.” – Guido, Redken Global Creative Director
