Thanksgiving is just a little over a week away and you are probably starting to think about food shopping, cooking, and decorating your table (or eating if you aren't in charge of any of those things). Though I will be with my DNA family for the holidays, I celebrated the big day with my "NYC Family" last week. If you think you don't have enough room in your apartment to host such a gala - think again. With some creative placement of furniture (I used my couch as dining seats on one side) and a few fold out tables, I fit 12 people in my New York City 1 bedroom apartment. Yes, you can do that too. As you scramble to prep...here are some of the cute ideas you can steal from my Thanksgiving Dinner Table.
On the heels of the most successful US Fair to date, The Affordable Art Fair returns to The Tunnel this October to celebrate its fourth fall edition in New York City. Over 16,000 attendees purchased over $4 million worth of artwork at the Spring 2013 edition (WOW!), and the fall Fair promises to again deliver a smartly curated showcase of original contemporary art within reach of the everyday New Yorker.
“The attacks of September 11th were intended to break our spirit. Instead we have emerged stronger and more unified. We feel renewed devotion to the principles of political, economic, and religious freedom, the rule of law and respect for human life. We are more determined than ever to live our lives in freedom.” -Rudolph Giuliani, former mayor of New York City

I present you with with a peek into my fashion week beauty arsenal:

The Affordable Art Fair celebrates the idea that art is for everyone, offering original artwork priced from $100 - $10,000, with half of the work under $5,000. The Fair offers unique programming including a wide variety of artist and curator talks, panel discussions, kids’ activities and more.
when invited to the very exclusive reception for the work of Paul Solberg at Casa de Costa in Lower Manhattan a weeks ago, the only thing my jaw did was support the smile that came across my face. I have heard the rumbles about this trendy penthouse atelier and have been yearning to be one of the lucky few to be added to their prominent guest list. Well, it finally happened. And what I saw, was nothing short of brilliance.
