On Thursday, September 8th, Women Thrive will join the Eileen Fisher clothing company and Bloomingdale’s (32 stores!) for an unprecedented in-store and online partnership to help women around the world lift themselves out of poverty.
EILEEN FISHER will donate 3% of the day’s in-store and online national sales and Bloomingdale’s will contribute an additional $5,000 to Women Thrive, the leading DC-based organization advocating for U.S. international assistance and trade programs for the poorest women in the world.
The global population will reach 7 billion in the next two years. The enormous challenge of feeding the world falls upon small-scale, subsistence farmers — the majority of whom are women. Yet women farmers often lack the rights and resources they need to be productive. Women Thrive is calling on Congress to protect critical programs supporting the world’s poorest citizens.
